Bareilly city is established by the king Katheria Jagat Singh in 1537 in form of Jagatpur. on the name of King's two son which is Bansdev and Baraldv ,this place is famous by the composition of both name that  name is Bans Baral and Kather also in the ancient time. 

The Distance of Bareilly is from the Delhi is 250 km and fron Lucknow is 252km Bareilly is Famous for the eye glitter which is famous for the eye shining . in all over world eye glitter (shurma) is supplied from the Bareilly. Bareilly is also Famous for Jhumka . in 1996 , a film was reliesed which name is "SAYA" in this movie a song is specially for Jhumka . the lyrrics of that song is Jhumka gira re... . but in this film there are no relation with breilly . this song is very famous in hindi cinema . Bareilly is also famous for street food .  

Bareilly is famous for its historical past. The city has beautiful weather and climatic conditions due to its pleasant environment present there. The blend of this natural beauty and information technology can make it an unmatchable .

Seekh Kebabs –

Seekh kebab is a speciality of Bareilly and it is available  in almost every restaurant that serves non-vegetarian food. Seekh kebabs are prepared with minced meat, which is primarily lamb and is mixed with herbs and aromatic spices and are grilled over a fire. Seekh kebabs have a speciality , as soon as you put them in your mouth, they will melt instantly and give you a taste that seems to be out of this world.

Nahari –

Nahari is another Mughal delicacy that was introduced to the city during Mughal period. It is a broth that is prepared ,that are cooked in a big pot on a slow pan for overnight. The dish has meat pieces along with very thick gravy and is served with khameeri roti and Rumali roti. this has good tatste.

Aaloo ki Tikki –

Aaloo ki tikki is a street food that is loved by people of Bareilly. It is made with boiled patties of potatoes that are shallow fried and served with tomato sauce, pudina chutney and spicy chholey. Chhotelal Ki Tikki is the best place to enjoy the best of tikki in the city.

Pani Batashe –

Pani batashe is another name given to the famous Indian street food Gol gappa. These are tiny fried bread that are stuffed with boiled chickpeas or potatoes and are served with specially prepared water mixture containing a lot of spices and herbs making it spicy.

Chaat –

Chaat is another famous street food of Bareilly and is made by mixing a variety of fruits and boiled potatoes that are shallow fried. A lot of spices and lemon juice are added to it to make it tasty and spicy. Chaman ki chaat is a famous point where you can find city’s best chaat served.

Lassi –

Lassi is a refreshing and healthy Indian drink made with yoghurt and sugar along with spices for flavouring . Deenanath ki lassi is considered to be the best place for enjoying a refreshing glass of lassi in the town.
