On October 31, before Diwali, India will proudly set a world record for one thing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 182-meter tall statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, called the Iron Man of India on this day. With this, this statue will become the tallest statue (statue) in the world. The structure of this statue is so special that it has become an example of engineering.
This statue will be unveiled only on the birthday of Sardar Patel. It is built near Sardar Sarovar Dam in Tribal District Narmada, 200 km from Ahmedabad. This statue is a tribute to Patel. He was the first Home Minister of independent India, he was named Iron Man for his significant contribution to maintaining unity and equality in the country.
It has already been declared as a tourist spot by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Apart from this idol, there is a Tribal Museum, a garden and facilities for boating facilities.
Time to complete this project
The project was announced in 2010 when Narendra Modi used to be the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The foundation stone was laid by Modi, who was then chief minister in October 2013, and the engineering company L&T was awarded the contract. From then on its construction started. Geo-technical and hydrological survey was completed in 2015. Apart from this, extensive survey was done on many things including wind tunnel. A 25-meter wall was erected for the statue in June 2017, with its infrastructure built. By now it had reached 59 meters. By July 2018, RCC core reached 157 meters after doing other constructions.

25,000 tons of iron and 90,000 tons of cement have been used in the construction of this 182 meter tall statue. The idol can be seen from 7 km away. The important fact is that the state assembly seat is kept at the same height as 182. Let us tell you that it is twice the height of the Statue of Liberty (93 meters) of America.
